PLAYWRITING
I have always loved writing, but I did not find my voice as a playwright until my sophomore year at Northwestern University, when I took Intro to Playwriting with the brilliant Laura Schellhardt. I fell in love with the limitless nature of playwriting; the ability to construct something out of nothing; and the power of unspoken and spoken connection. I am deeply passionate about centering femme multidimensionality, catharsis, and joy through storytelling. As a playwright, I am continuously inspired by coming-of-age chronicles (i.e., The Wolves, How to Defend Yourself, Man of God) that depict conflicting senses of femininity and aim to reflect that dissonance on stage myself.
